Trend Talk: What's hot and what's not...👗
Hey everyone! Hope you are all keeping well. It feels like forever since I've been on this, kind of has been🙈. Just been so busy with halloween and birthdays, other uni assignments, you know how it is🙄. But I am finally back with another blog post and what better day to start than a Monday as everyone says! Today's post is going to be a bit different from other blog posts. More light-hearted lets say, where I will be discussing all things trends in our A/W wardrobes this year🍂.
People are definitely going all out this year for casual autumn/winter wear. I think we can all agree, a/w wardrobes are not cheap, but I definitely have my eye on a few staples I will be purchasing for my wardrobe this year...
Starting strong with the famous UGG boots and slippers. I can't really think of anyone who isn't a lover of this brand and their amazing products. This brand has been around for years, but has only really started to come back in this past couple of years. I do LOVE Ugg boots and slippers, BUT, I can't lie, I can't quite justify paying the full price for them atm (purely because I am broke🫠). We are all aware of 'dupes' and let me tell you, Ugg dupes are no joke. Places like Saramart and TikTok shop etc. are on fire when it comes to dupes, especially with the Ugg slippers and boots. My mum actually purchased a pair of a random website and I swear, you would never be able to tell the difference! They are mine now of course🙂. Hopefully, someday (when I have a bit more money to spare lol), I will treat myself to the real deal because I just love these, and hope they never go out of trend😍.
Next up, trench coats. I absolutely love the look of trench coats on other people. They are just perfect staples for our a/w wardrobes, can be dressed down, dressed up, OBSESSED! However... I am yet to own one for one main reason. It might sound so weird and I don't know why but I just don't think I would suit one. I am 20 years of age, but for some reason, I still look about 17 (18 at a push) and I just think a trench coat wouldn't suit me for this reason. I know it's stupid and what's even worse is I haven't even took the time to try one on😂. Who knows, I might try it on and love it and potentially be adding it to my a/w wardrobe this year. Again something I hope never goes out of style❤️🔥.There is a few brands I have also been loving this year, some more so now coming into winter. If anyone knows me reading this, you know that I love myself a sunbed, some might say I was obsessed at a point. Not denying it, I was obsessed, really missing my summer tan rn🥲. A few months ago, Supreme Tan, a business that provides sunbed creams and different products, reached out to me and I started working with them, promoting their products on social media. I used these products before they reached out to me, and I LOVE them!
Another brand I am obsessed with at the minute is BPerfect cosmetics. Majority of my make-up routine consists of BPerfect products and I honestly don't think I could do my makeup without them! Coming into winter, I havent been going to the sunbeds nearly half as much as I did in summer, so I have started using the BPerfect 10 second tan and loved it! As much as I hate putting tan on and scrubbing it off, this tan was so nice on my skin and actually wasn't too bad coming off either. It was never really scaly or crusty looking and stayed on nicely for about a week. 10/10! Speaking of BPerfect, Voduz hair products are 100% worth the hype. From shampoo and conditioner to hairspray and heat protectant, everything I use is Voduz and I will never go back!
Some things I don't think deserve the hype... And I am going to be 100% honest with this one.
Firstly, the B Bold instant airbrush tan... now. This one is 50/50 for me, it done everything it said it would do; gave a flawless instant tan, was waterproof for 24 hours and only took one wash and it's off! The only criticism I have for this product was how hard it was to blend out. As soon as I sprayed it onto my skin, it dried within like 0.5 seconds, making it really hard to blend out nicely. Any of the videos I seen on TikTok, people were spraying it on and leaving it for a few seconds and were still able to blend it out so effortlessly. My skin is really dry, so maybe if you're the same, I wouldn't recommend this product.
So we all know the whole clean girl aesthetic, using ice rollers and gua-sha every day and so on. I was actually quite good with my gua-sha, used it every morning, but never saw any difference. Probably because I wasn't doing it right but if anyone has any tips on how to get rid of a permanent double chin, please let me know🥲.
Honestly, there isn't many products that I would say are 'bad'. Every product these days are of very good quality and deserves all the attention they get!
Anyway, that brings me to the end of this post about the main trends at the minute and my thoughts on them. Let me know what all of you have been loving (or hating)! Nothing better than trying out new products ✨.
