Hey everyone! Welcome back to the big sister blog. I haven't been on in a while, again 🙄, but I am back with another blog post (and a few more to follow👀). This blog post has been suggested by a lovely reader and I think it is a very important one. I definitely say this about every post 🙈 but this one will be a good read for everyone!
School is out for summer good!🥹 For most people reading this, we all can relate to the last day of school. For anyone reading who hasn't left school yet, this blog post will be good for preparing you on what is to come. Emotions are high, good and bad, making the most of the company we have shared for the past 7 years (or 5), and making the final memories of our school life. Can't forget about everyone getting ready for the last night out together 🙈. This day can be harder for some people who maybe don't like change (guilty), or people who have made loads of new friendships, and people who are worried about what is to come next... Believe me I've been there. Me being the emotional wreck that I am, found the last day of school quite difficult. I had been separated from my home town friends for most of secondary school which allowed me to develop so much more friendships and I was definitely worried about the next step.

Luckily, I am still in touch with a lot of friends from secondary school💗. But, I have also lost a few friends too, and this is okay!
As hard as it is, everyone has to go on their own journey after school and this may cause a few friendships to be lost. But everyone that is meant to stay in your life will. There is one friend I have from secondary school who has moved over seas for university and when she comes home, we always make an effort to meet up and catch-up before she goes back, which is always enjoyable considering there's months of gossip to catch up on🙈. But this just goes to show, whoever is meant to be in your life will be!
Leaving school and embarking on your next journey doesn't have to be all bad and focused on loosing people. Whatever you have chosen for your next path, whether it is university, work, or anything else, there is opportunity for making even more friends! This is a major positive to remember if ever feeling down or sad about loosing people. I have made loads more friends from going to university👯♀️. Making new friends can be difficult. No matter what the circumstances, it requires stepping out of comfort zones and time to connect with new people. But when you do, it is so rewarding! You start to feel at ease again on your new path after school🙌🏼.
To finish off, in the grand scheme of things, leaving school is just one small part of our lives. Although it is sad, it allows for so many amazing opportunities to follow🦋. Every ending is a new beginning. Try to always look at the positives and remember, not everyone will stay in your life forever! Any friendships that have survived the break-up with school, cherish them because these are the real ones💫.
